1. Responsible Party (Controller) The controller for data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: Markus Glodek, c/o COCENTER, Koppoldstr. 1, 86551 Aichach, tapaway@schluderer.de
2. Data Collection in our Game We use a privacy-friendly, pseudonymous analytics system to improve the gameplay experience and balance difficulty. We use the service PostHog, hosted on servers within the European Union (PostHog Cloud EU).
2.1. What data do we collect? We prioritize data minimization. When you play, we generate a temporary Session ID that is deleted and regenerated every time you close and restart the app. We do not store any persistent identifiers (such as advertising IDs, device IDs or user accounts) that would allow us to track you across multiple play sessions.
The specific technical data collected includes:
- Device information: Platform (e.g. Android/iOS) and operating system version.
- App information: Game version and build type.
- Gameplay data: Level progression, moves made, attempts, and success/failure rates.
- IP addresses are not stored for analytics purposes. IP addresses may be processed transiently for technical reasons during transmission, but are not stored by us or PostHog in a way that allows us to identify you.
2.2. Purpose of Processing The data is used solely for the purpose of:
- Analyzing game difficulty (e.g. identifying levels that are too hard).
- Debugging technical issues.
- Improving the user experience.
We do not use the data for marketing, profiling or advertising.
2.3. Legal Basis The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Legitimate Interest). Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the functionality and improvement of our game. Since the data is not linked to a persistent user profile and is limited to pseudonymous technical and gameplay data, the impact on your privacy is minimal.
You can object to the processing for analytics purposes at any time by disabling analytics in the game settings. In this case, no gameplay analytics data will be sent to PostHog.
2.4. Data Retention Gameplay and device data is retained by PostHog for a maximum of 12 months. After this period, data is automatically deleted. Session IDs are ephemeral and deleted when the app is closed and restarted.
3. Third-Party Services — PostHog We use PostHog for analytics. Data is transmitted to PostHog servers located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). PostHog processes this data solely on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes. PostHog acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. Data stored with PostHog is retained for 12 months before automatic deletion.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing or other independent purposes.
4. Your Rights Under the GDPR, you generally have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification or erasure (Art. 16 & 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Important note regarding the exercise of these rights: Because we do not store any persistent identifiers (such as user IDs or IP addresses), it is technically not possible for us in most cases to link analytics data to a specific individual. Therefore, we can usually only fulfil rights such as access or deletion if you provide additional information that allows us to identify your data.
Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable law. The supervisory authority responsible for us is usually the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, www.lda.bayern.de).
